Douglas Solomon – CEO

Douglas Solomon, co-founder of ID Solutions Inc., has over 30 years of hands-on experience in the management of corporations and international subsidiaries. His experience includes over 13 years in international sales and marketing within the high-tech industry. Prior to founding ID Solutions, Douglas held various positions as President and/or CEO of various US-based and international companies. His experience and responsibilities include every aspect of running a business, people management, financial controls, resource planning and expansion/growth strategy of the company and its stakeholders. As a graduate of the University of the Witwatersrand, he started his career with Hewlett Packard in South Africa in 1979 and in 1985 left HP to start one of the largest HP OEM’s in Africa, under the banner of the then publicly traded “Square One Solutions Group”. In partnership with various local and international companies, Douglas has been instrumental in establishing a beach-head for numerous new ventures in a variety of high-tech focused opportunities.
  

Patrick Gilmore - Senior VP Sales

Patrick Gilmore joined ID Solutions Inc., as Senior Vice President with responsibility for Global Sales. In joining ID Solutions he brings over 15 years experience delivering biometrics and identity Management solutions across the entire EMEA region. During this time he has served as Vice President – National Sales at Datastrip; and Sales Director responsible for Biometrics sales in the Middle East and Africa with Motorola, as well as working with Daon as Vice President, Sales MEA.

Patrick has extensive experience in securing large biometrics solution wins in countries as diverse as the UAE, Oman, South Africa, Nigeria., and his brief at ID Solutions is to identify and develop opportunities for the ID Solutions range of biometrics solutions on a global basis.

Alexander Solovey - Systems Architecture

Alexander Solovey heads up the Research & Development office as General Manager as well as Director of Software Systems Architecture, handling all aspects of the technology development vision and execution. Previous to joining ID Solutions, Alexander held the position of Project Manager of the Server Systems Department of BioLink Technologies, Inc., where he was responsible for the research and development work related to the company’s server products (hardware and software).

Prior to that, from 2000 to 2002 he worked in the Biolink Software Development Department as Chief Software Engineer. He was involved as system architect in the most important and large-scale projects of the company. From 1997 through 2000 Alexander worked as leading software engineer in “Open Systems Company”, where he was engaged in the development of large-scale distributed systems. He graduated the Moscow State University of Communications majoring in computer science with an Honors Diploma in 1997. Upon graduation, Alexander combined hard work in the IT industry, post-graduate courses, and teaching students at the Moscow State University of Communications.
